The City of Los Angeles Department of Aging (LADOA) presents an art exhibit featuring older adults of the City of Los Angeles as part of the celebration for the Older Americans Month in May. The theme for the art show this year is “Connect, Create, Contribute”, which encourages communities to remember that older adults are a benefit to others. By engaging and supporting all community members, we recognize that older adults play a key role in the vitality of our neighborhoods, networks, and lives.
The exhibit showcases works from older adults throughout the City of Los Angeles that creatively encompass how they:
- Connect with friends, family, and services that support participation.
- Create by engaging in activities that promote learning, health, and personal enrichment.
- Contribute time, talent, and life experiences to benefit others.
Join us in a celebration of the rich life experiences of our older adults captured in each work.
LADOA is committed to improving the quality of life, independence, health, and dignity of our older adults through comprehensive, coordinated, and accessible community-based programs that advocate for their needs.
